The stock insert is one layout
IKEA's own KOMPLEMENT jewellery inserts come in a fixed arrangement and a single grey felt. If you have more rings than earrings, or a watch collection, the compartments are in the wrong places.
Loose organisers never fill the drawer
Trays bought by the piece leave gaps, slide about when the drawer opens, and rarely match. The drawer ends up holding boxes instead of jewellery.

KOMPLEMENT drawers
The most common home for a jewellery insert. KOMPLEMENT drawers come 50, 75 and 100 cm wide and 35 or 58 cm deep, with plain or glass fronts, and they have the clear height for any insert, including layouts with watch pillows. A 100 × 58 drawer takes a full collection; a 50 × 58 makes a neat rings-and-watches drawer.

Measuring tip for KOMPLEMENT drawers: measure the inside, not the frame. The 100 cm in the product name is the drawer's outside width; the space inside is smaller, and it is that inside figure we build to. If the front and back differ, use the smaller one.

Velvet, in 24 colours.
Every insert is upholstered throughout in velvet, one colour across all the compartments so the drawer reads as a single piece. Calm neutrals such as Ivory, Peach, Cappuccino and Taupe sit quietly inside a white PAX; Navy, Marsala, Cherry, Olive and Graphite make the drawer the point of opening it. You choose the colour in the configurator and see it on the insert before you decide.

Will it fit my KOMPLEMENT drawer exactly?
Yes. We make the insert to the measurements you give us for the inside of your drawer, 1 mm smaller on each side so it drops in without forcing and lifts out again cleanly. It is not a standard size that happens to be close; it is made for that drawer.
Do I need to measure my drawer?
Yes, and it takes about a minute. IKEA publishes the frame size of a drawer, not the clear space inside, and that inside measurement varies between models and years. Measuring it yourself is the only way to be certain, and it is what the insert is built to.
How do I measure an IKEA drawer for an insert?
Open the drawer fully. Measure the inside width from wall to wall at the front and at the back, and the inside depth from the front panel to the back panel. Use the smaller figure if they differ. Then measure the clear height from the drawer base to the underside of whatever sits above it, usually the next drawer or the shelf. Enter those three numbers in the configurator.
Can I have watch pillows and ring rolls in the same insert?
Yes. Any of the thirteen compartment types can be combined in one insert, in any arrangement. The insert is always a 50 mm section, so the layout is yours to decide. The one constraint is the drawer: watch pillows stand above the tray, so they need at least 80 mm of clear height inside the drawer.
How high is the insert, and will the drawer still close?
Every insert is a standard 50 mm section: a 4 mm base and 44 mm of clear space inside. That fits almost any drawer, and the drawer closes as it did before. Watch pillows are the exception, because the cushions stand above the tray: for those the drawer needs at least 80 mm of clear height. If you are unsure, tell us the clear height and we will advise before making anything.
Can I order inserts for several drawers?
Yes. In the configurator you can add another drawer, design each one separately, and send them all in a single quotation request. Many PAX owners order two or three at once: rings and earrings in one, watches in the next, necklaces in the third.
How long does it take?
We confirm the price and send a workshop drawing for your approval by email, then the insert is made by hand. Timing is confirmed with your quotation and depends on the number of drawers and the colour chosen.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Yes. Choose your country in the quotation form and shipping is confirmed with your price.
Are you connected with IKEA?
No. Inset Atelier is an independent workshop. We make inserts to fit IKEA drawers because so many of our customers have them, but we have no connection with IKEA and our inserts are not IKEA products.
Can I change the layout after I receive the quote?
Yes. Nothing is made until you approve the workshop drawing. If you would like to move a compartment or change a colour after seeing the price, reply to the email and we will update the drawing.
